What day is today? Monday? Friday? What is the world's disaster today? Tsunamis. Earthquakes.
Tornadoes. Hurricanes. Volcanic eruptions. Blizzards. Economic Crisis. Any one of these events
could be the news story of the day, and a news story is all they are, unless you happen to live
where they happen. Then they become a life threatening event to you and your family. We've all
watched on the news as people struggle to cope and /or survive, while barely thinking about how
that could easily be me and my family.
If one of these disasters were to happen in your neighborhood, would you be one of the few who is
actually prepared or would you need to be rescued by someone else, if they are willing to help?
You can rest more peacefully knowing you greatly increased your chance for survival by preparing
you and your family to be able to survive a food emergency with food storage survival kits.
Now ask yourself, just how big of a disaster do I want to prepare for? Option A is you can have
short term disasters like earthquakes or tornadoes, etc. Option B, you can think in terms of long
term disasters like ice storms, blizzards or floods. How about something non-natural but just as
devastating like a serious economic depression. Option A short term disasters are easily arranged

However, preparing for an Option B, larger and longer disaster should lead you to prepare with

your family will need to survive.
Proper and adequate preparation is the logical solution to providing any of the basics needs of
yours and your family's. Whether it's clothing, shelter, life insurance, health insurance or whatever
the need, it all takes planning and fore thought. Being able to survive a food emergency is no
different. Just properly prepare for the future. As a minimum investment to your well being,
consider setting aside enough clean drinking water, freeze dried food, meals ready to eat(MREs,
and I saw all you Service Vets grin just now) and other miscellaneous supplies for an Option A,
short term disaster. That alone could have you living safely, while others are struggling to find
supplies and necessities. Don't allow yourself to be a part of the confused and dazed crowd, just
because pride and doubt tries to convince you that it's silly invest in something like food storage
survival kits.
With that said, now you may be asking, why should anyone invest in food storage survival kits and
supplies? Sure seems unlikely that any disaster would affect my life. Want to use cost as an
excuse? Think again. A large segment disaster supplies are very affordable--particularly those for
the short term plan. A couple hundred bucks can save your family from being needlessly hungry,
from infections, and other undesirable things that become apparent during disasters. Storage
space not available? Again, no need to worry because freeze dried foods and/or kits used to
survive a food emergency are smaller than most regular foods, and most kits compare in space
usage to that of a small lunch bag--but truly can help save your lives.
So, solid reasoning in these days of extreme natural events and in these trouble economic times
and in these sometimes unstable days of world events, there is really no good reason why you
should not invest in a survival kit of some kind. Couple that with the peace of mind that you would
have, now that you know you can and will survive a food emergency with food storage survival
kits, and you will be all set to make it through even the worst of disasters, and be able to proclaim
your confidence in being prepared and in knowing you have done what it takes to keep you and
your family safe.
